Metal Notching

What is Metal Notching?

Notching and punching are common features in metal parts. Punching a hole with an open edge on the outside profile is called metal notching. Pushing out a hole with a complete perimeter is called metal punching.  It is a simple and effective process for anglemasters, iron workers, and other punching machines.

CNC Notching Applications

Typical applications will punch holes or clip edges of out of metal parts as needed to produce the exact piece needed.  OMS can punch items up to ¾ inch thick and as wide as 5 inches wide in lighter gauge material.
