Kent Brown

Kent Brown

President and CEO

Kent Brown, President and CEO, holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from WVU and an MBA from Robert Morris University. He is originally from Beaver Falls, PA, and currently resides in Trussville, Alabama. Prior to joining O’Neal, Kent worked for 17 years in the iron foundry industry as a Foundry Manager and later as Vice President and General Manager of foundries in TX, AL, and UT. He joined the O’Neal family of companies as General Manager of the Louisville, Kentucky OMS facility, and was soon after promoted to President and CEO of O’Neal Manufacturing Services in 2017. Kent is responsible for overseeing the nine regional OMS fabrication locations in North America and directing the corporate headquarters located in Birmingham, Alabama.


Russ Bagby

Russ Bagby

CHief Financial Officer

Russ Bagby, Chief Financial Officer, was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and also holds an MBA from the University of Alabama. Russ has over 20 years’ experience in accounting and finance. He began his career in public accounting with an international firm. Later, Russ entered the private sector and began working for a large family-owned manufacturing company. Russ has also worked in the coal mining industry and a start-up healthcare entity before joining the O’Neal family of companies in 2012. In the fall of 2016, he accepted his current position as CFO with O’Neal Manufacturing Services.


Mark Chesebro

Mark Chesebro

Director of Information Systems

Mark Chesebro, Director of Information Systems (I.S.), holds a BS degree from Louisiana State University and an MBA from the University of Alabama. He is originally from Huntsville, AL and has lived in Birmingham for his entire career. Mark has accumulated nearly 40 years of Experience in I.T. and has worked for the past 27 years in I.T. management for metal related manufacturing companies. Mark joined O’Neal Manufacturing Services in 2017, and his team supports applications, infrastructure, and desktops for all regional OMS facilities and the corporate headquarters in Birmingham.


Amy Gartman

Amy Gartman

Director of Human Resources

Amy Gartman, Director of Human Resources, was born in Sunflower, Alabama and graduated from The University of Montevallo with a B.S. degree. Amy holds multiple certifications including an Associate in Management (AIM), a Professional of Human Resources (PHR), and a Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation. Amy spent more than 20 years with State Farm Insurance and Financial Services in various human resources management positions  prior to joining O’Neal Manufacturing Services as Director of Human Resources in 2017. 


Danny Owens

Danny Owens

Director of Supply Chain Management

Danny Owens, Director of Supply Chain, grew up In Chattanooga, Tennessee and graduated from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. Since then he has lived in Birmingham for the last 20 years. Danny has been in the industry for 33 years with jobs in Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Operation Management, and Supply Chain. Of the 33 years in the industry, 20 of them have been with O’Neal Steel. When O’Neal Manufacturing Services began, Danny joined the team and was given the title of Director of Supply Chain.


Michael Richey

Michael Richey

Director of Sales and Marketing

Michael Richey, Director of Sales and Marketing, grew up in Pell City, Alabama where he and his family currently reside. Upon graduating from Auburn University in 2005, Michael started his career in sales at Clayton Industries, a fabricator and machine shop specializing in hydraulic cylinders.  He then accrued a decade of sales experience in the Full-Service Class 8 Truck Leasing industry. Michael joined the Supply Chain Team at O’Neal Manufacturing Services in 2017, bringing with him a wealth of sales and marketing experience across transportation and fabrication industries. In 2019, Michael was promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing for OMS.


Clark Wood

Director of Safety

Clark Wood, Director of Safety, earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at Auburn University and a master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has over 25 years of manufacturing experience in the chemical, paper, sugar, and steel industries.  His past positions include Director of Occupational Health & Safety for Georgia Pacific, Health & Safety Manager for Glatfelter and US Sugar, Industrial Hygienist, Safety and Production Supervisor with International Paper, and Corporate Director of Safety at Hanna Steel.  Originally from Cullman, Alabama, Clark currently resides in Birmingham.


Chris Thomas

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

Chris Thomas, Sr. Quality Assurance Manager, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business from The Pennsylvania State University.  Chris holds multiple certifications including: Six Sigma Green Belt, CE certificate for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and ISO 9001 Auditing. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he currently resides, Chris has close to 20 years of manufacturing experience ranging from production to continuous improvement and quality.  He joined the OMS team in April of 2008 as a production supervisor and was then promoted to Quality Assurance Manager in 2010.  Chris was then promoted to Sr. Quality Assurance Manager in 2019.
