HOUSTON, TX. (February 6, 2018) — O’Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS), a supplier of fabricated metal components and welded assemblies serving original equipment manufacturers, has moved its operations to a new facility in the northern part of Houston.

“We are excited to continue our long tradition of providing quality fabricated products to Houston and surrounding markets. Our new location is more modern, better sized for our operation, and adds in house painting capability to our business.  We look forward to continuing a strong manufacturing presence in Houston for years to come,” said Kent Brown, President & CEO, O’Neal Manufacturing Services. OMS has been in Houston since 1988.

The Henry Road facility, which was built in 2013, offered OMS the opportunity to layout the operation for optimal efficiency. The 122,000-square foot facility is climate controlled, has better lighting, and a paint booth, which was not available at the former location. OMS in Houston employees 50 people with opportunity for growth.

BIRMINGHAM, AL. (October 9, 2017) — O’Neal Industries (ONI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kent Brown as president and CEO of O’Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS), a supplier of fabricated metal components and welded assemblies serving original equipment manufacturers and O’Neal Industries (ONI) affiliate, effective October 2, 2017.

The current OMS president and CEO, Larry Whitehead, will remain until December 31, ensuring a smooth transition.

Brown came to OMS from a large fabricator, C&B Pipe Fabrication, where he was the Director of Operations.  Prior to that, Kent was Vice President and General Manager of McWane Corporation where he spent 17 years in roles of diverse and increasing responsibilities. A native of Pittsburgh, Kent holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from West Virginia University, as well as an MBA from Robert Morris University.

“Kent’s broad experience in the industry, coupled with his enthusiasm for the business, will enable him to lead OMS successfully in the future,” said Holman Head, ONI president and chief operating officer (COO).  “The ONI Leadership Team has the utmost confidence in his ability to build on the solid foundation established by Larry Whitehead.”
