Congratulations to Regional General Manager Gus Cassida on completing MSCI’s Strategic Metals Management Program! This year-long strategy and leadership education program addressed complex, cross-functional issues that have been identified as the most compelling challenges and opportunities in the metals industry. We are thrilled to have a key member of our team complete this distinctive industry program.
Hosted by the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, the Strategic Metals Management focused on five primary aspects of leadership and strategic management:
- MODULE 1: Leading Strategy
- MODULE 2: Managing Markets and Customers
- MODULE 3: Driving Operational Excellence
- MODULE 4: Corporate Strategy, Growth, and the Role of M&A
- MODULE 5: Leading for High Performance
The course combined a metals-focused curriculum with a rare opportunity to build relationships with fellow senior executives from steel mills, fabricators, and service centers. This variety allowed for unprecedented networking opportunities as the participants engaged in case studies from multiple points of view.
“The comradery, professional relationships, and networking aspect of this program were amazing,” remarked Cassida. “The diversification of cohorts allowed each of us to gain a better understanding of the metals industry as a whole.”
The connections built through MSCI enhanced the participant’s ability to manage customer relationships, streamline operations, and drive growth through innovative strategies. Cassida’s completion of this program demonstrates his commitment to professional development and his ongoing dedication to driving excellence at O’Neal Manufacturing Services.
“It was an honor to represent our company,” said Cassida.
With enhanced skills in strategic planning and operational excellence, Cassida is well-equipped to lead our regional operations even more effectively. We are incredibly proud of his achievements and look forward to seeing the positive impact of his new skills on our organization. Congratulations, Gus on this remarkable accomplishment!
