O’Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS) will invest $8.5 million to open a 41,000-square-foot steel fabrication facility in Kingsport as part of a project that will create more than 25 jobs in the community.

Kingsport Mayor Paul Montgomery confirmed, “It is my honor to join Gov. Lee and Commissioner McWhorter in welcoming O’Neal Manufacturing Services to Kingsport where they will invest $8.5 million and create 29 high-paying jobs for our citizens. For more than 100 years, this company has been synonymous with the highest quality metal components for a wide range of industries. Our great labor force supported by the very best workforce development and education partners, pro-business city and county governments, and the seamless work of our city’s economic development department, NETWORKS Sullivan Partnership, and TNECD’s Northeast Tennessee office have brought an outstanding corporate citizen to the Model City.”
OMS provides quality carbon steel and aluminum parts for customers that manufacture equipment for construction, agriculture, material handling, transportation, and other industries. The company’s custom steel fabrication center in Kingsport will support medium-to heavy-gauge steel fabrication including steel plate burning, machining, shot blasting, and flattening. OMS is a subsidiary of Birmingham-based O’Neal Industries, the nation’s largest family-owned network of metal service centers and component and tube manufacturing businesses.
